Frozen Shoulder

Frozen shoulder disease, which manifests itself with pain and limitation of movement in the shoulder joint, can be seen in people with diabetes, thyroid dysfunction, previous surgical treatment and limitation of movement in the shoulder joint for a long time. It occurs as a result of the development of adhesion and stiffness in the soft tissues of the shoulder joint.

In the examinations performed after patients are admitted to the hospital with pain and shoulder movement limitation (especially the inability to turn the shoulder outwards), thickening is observed in the lower capsule of the shoulder joint. In people whose complaints cannot be relieved with preventive methods such as medication, physical therapy methods and intra-articular injection, joint release can be performed under anesthesia or with arthroscopic methods.

Return to daily life is possible with controlled shoulder movements during the treatment period, continuation of supportive treatment and post-operative physical therapy applications.
